In Lombardy jams production comes from an old tradition handed down from generation to generation. The ingredients used are all natural, above all they are preservatives and dyes free. The most famous areas for jams production are Brescia, where the cotognata is produced, which is a solid stewed fruit product that is cut in slices and it is made of quinces. Mantua instead is famous both for the production of jams and mostarda, which is made with apples and pears, excellent the one of Cà Vecchia. Mustard is also a well-known product of the area near Crema, but in this case other fruits are added.
