The salamella is a fresh pork sausage. To be consumed cooked. The salamella is from Lombardy, precisely from Mantova. It is made up of the shoulder and belly of the pig; nerves and skin are removed. The meat is minced and seasoned with salt, pepper and other spices and then put into the casing. The salamella is usually cooked on the grill on charcoal. It is the traditional Italian BBQ food, seasoned only with salt and enjoyed with some fresh bread. Thanks to the vacuum-packed bag, the meat stays fresh for about 30 days without loosing its properties.

How it's made The salamella is a fresh product obtained from the belly and shoulder of the pig. The meat, minced and spiced, is put into a natural calf casing. The meat is vacuum-packed where, at controlled temperature, can last for 30 days.
Storage The product is vacuum-packed. If kept in fridge, it is possible to consume it even after 20-30 days from the purchase.
