Rottensteiner Lagrein Riserva is a wine produced in the basin of Caldaro near Bolzano by the Lagrein grape variety, typical of Trentino and one of the most appreciated. The Lagrein grapes are manually harvested in perfect phenolic ripeness and taken to the winery for vinification, after crushing the Lagrein is transferred in cement vats where it ferments with maceration for approximately 20 days. After the alcoholic fermentation Rottensteiner Lagrein Riserva is separated from the skins and aged in large barrels up to the time of blending and bottling.
