Zenato San Benedetto Lugana is a wine made from 100% Trebbiano di Lugana grapes cultivated in the southern region of Garda Lake from the Zenato winery. The grapes are manually harvested when ripe around the middle of September and taken to the winery for gentle pressing, this process occurs in the absence of oxygen to avoid conditions that will oxidize aromatic precursors present in the must. Once must is clarified it's inoculated with selected yeasts and the fermentation takes place in a temperature controlled steel tanks for about 15 days at a temperature of about 16 ° C. Subsequently, the Zenato San Benedetto Lugana is aged for about five months on its lees before being blended and bottled. Zenato San Benedetto Lugana is placed on the market no earlier than five months of aging in bottle.
