Masi Agricola is a company based in Valpolicella and owned by the Boscaini family since 1772, famous for the production of the wine Amarone della Valpolicella. This company has always been linked to the Valpolicella territory and their story began when the family took over the historical vineyard of 'Vaio dei Masi' and then the estates of the Serego Alighieri Counts. This estate is particularly rich in history, not only because it is incredibly old but also because the Counts were descendants of the Supreme Poet, Dante Alighieri. Since then, the growth of the Masi Agricola has been astounding and evidence of which is the other estates they have purchased in Veneto, in other parts of Italy and one in Argentina. Masi Agricola is a company that consider research and modernisation incredibly important. It is one of the few Italian wine companies that has a specific Research and Development department in collaboration with the University of Milan and the Gruppo Tecnico Masi. Today the company manages 200 hectares of vineyards and produced around 5,000,000 bottles of the different wine types.
