Ca dei Frati is probably the most famous wine producer of Lugana, the area south of the Garda Lake which comprises of the towns of the Desenzano del Garda, Sirmione, Pozzolengo, Lonato and Peschiera del Garda. The family company, run by Igino, Gian Franco and Anna Maria Dal Cero, was founded in 1939 when Felice del Cero from Verona bought the estate in Sirmione and over the years he began to stand out in the national and international market. Ca dei Frati winery has never stopped improving and growing; they recently bought a vineyard in Valpolicella and they broadened their products range. Today Ca dei Frati owns 150 hectares of vines and it produces around 2 million bottles a year and some of them are very famous like Lugana Brolettino and Benaco Bresciano Ronchedone.
