The extra jam by Cà Vecchia is made only with fresh Italian fruit and sugar, without any additives or preservatives; beside being incredibly tasty it is also very healthy. Fruit is worked within 48 hours after the picking and only the healthy and ripened strawberries are selected for the production of this jam. The percentage of strawberries in the jam is incredibly high, about 160 g for every 100g of the final product. The jam is seasoned with Modena balsamic vinegar IGP during the production.

How it's made | The production of the extra strawberry and balsamic vinegar jam by Cà Vecchia starts when the whole strawberries are picked by hand. Once selected and washed, the strawberries are cooked in the workshop of the company. Once cooked, sugar and balsamic vinegar are added, which gives the jam its typical taste. These are the only ingredients used to make the Cà Vecchia jams. The word extra indicates the high percentage of fruit in the jam, in this case strawberry pulp, which is usually 160g for 100g of final product and 30g of sugar. |
