The Amarone Classico Zenato is a strong and majestic wine. The Corvina, Rondinella and Oselete grapes are carefully selected, harvested and then laid in boxes paying particular attention to the spaces between the bunches in order to facilitate the proper drying process. The withering takes place in the fruttai, special rooms where temperature and humidity are controlled to allow a sufficient drying of the grapes. After about 100-120 days from the harvest, grapes are de-stemmed and the bunches are laid in temperature controlled steel tanks for the alcoholic fermentation. After fermentation and 15-20-day maceration, the Zenato Amarone Classico is left to age in oak barrels for 30 months. After bottling, the wine rests for a year before being released.

Terroir Amarone Zenato è prodotto con le migliori uve Corvina Rondinella e Oseleta delle tenute Zenato. I vigneti sono coltivati a spalliera con potatura a guyot e densità di impianto di 5000 ceppi/Ha. Il suolo in questa zona della Valpolicella è tendenzialmente molto povero di sostanza organica e ricco in calcare questo stimola il metabolismo della pianta verso la produzione di più sostanze coloranti e polifenoliche. Dal punto di vista climatico le brezze che spirano regolari durante il periodo della maturazione assicyrano un ottimo stato sanitario alle uve prima della raccolta e il posizionamento nei fruttai.

Amarone Zenato is a strong and full-bodied wine, but at the same time elegant and well-balanced. It is recommended to taste it together with red meat and gamey dishes, even spiced or elaborated. Thanks to its peculiar features, it is excellent with long-aged cheeses.
