Franciacorta Berlucchi Cuvee 61 Rose

Franciacorta Berlucchi Cuvee 61 Rose is the emblem of the historic Berlucchi winery's Rosé wines, a tribute to the first production of classic method in Franciacorta initialed by the number 61. This wine is the fruit of a skillful combination of 60 percent Pinot Noir grapes, which undergo a partial cold maceration process designed to extract the maximum essences and aromas from the skins. The harvest of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which takes place between mid-August and early September, is the other key component in the production of Berlucchi Cuvee 61 rose. Following vinification, the sparkling wine bases are carefully assembled and bottled, with sugar and yeast added, to start the second fermentation of the wine directly in the bottle. The careful curing continues with a 24-month bottle aging, followed by an additional 2 months in the cellar before being offered to the market.
