It is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, grown with passion in three estate vineyards in the heart of Barbaresco. Here, at an altitude ranging from 240 to 270 meters above sea level, the vines take root in compact soil, rich in limestone and clay, which gives the wine an unmistakable minerality and structure.
The privileged exposure, which ranges from south to southwest to east, ensures perfect ripening of the bunches, while the modified Guyot bow training system allows the vines to control the vigor of the plant and concentrate quality in a few, precious fruits.
The winemaking process is a ritual performed with precision and respect for the raw material: after a gentle crushing with destemming, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel vats, keeping the must in contact with the skins to extract color, fragrance and noble tannins. This is followed by the crucial stage of maturation, during which the wine rests in large 20- and 45-hectoliter French oak barrels. This passage allows it to soften its tannins and enrich its aromatic profile without being dominated by wood. The last act is aging in the bottle, protected from light and noise, where Barbaresco completes its evolution, achieving extraordinary balance and complexity.
