Chianti Classico DOCG Nunzi Conti has an intense ruby red color, typical of Sangiovese-based wines. On the nose, it offers a complex and enveloping bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruits such as cherries and plums, accompanied by floral hints of violets and spicy nuances of black pepper and tobacco. In the mouth it is balanced and harmonious, with a pleasant freshness and soft tannins. Red fruits emerge again, enriched by hints of licorice and a light mineral note. The finish is persistent and invites another sip.

Chianti Classico DOCG Nunzi Conti is a fine red wine produced in the heart of Tuscany, in one of the world's most famous and appreciated wine areas: the Chianti Classico region. The Chianti Classico territory stretches between the provinces of Florence and Siena, in a hilly area characterized by a temperate climate, with mild winters and hot but not excessive summers. The soils are predominantly clay and limestone, with the presence of marl, a type of very friable rock that promotes water drainage. These soil and climate characteristics help to give Chianti Classico DOCG Nunzi Conti wine its distinctive characteristics. The vineyards from which the grapes for the production of this wine come are cultivated at an altitude ranging from 250 to 600 meters above sea level. The grapes used are mainly Sangiovese, which must make up at least 80 percent of the blend, to which other indigenous Tuscan varieties such as Canaiolo and Colorino, or international ones such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, may be added. The production process for Chianti Classico DOCG Nunzi Conti involves traditional red wine vinification, with maceration of the skins for at least 12-15 days at a controlled temperature of 28-30°C. This is followed by malolactic fermentation, which takes place in stainless steel tanks. Aging of the wine takes place in French oak barriques for a period of 12 months, followed by further aging in bottles for at least 3 months. The result is a wine of great structure and complexity, with a deep ruby red color, a bouquet of ripe red fruit and spices, and a full, harmonious and persistent flavor. It is a wine that pairs perfectly with red meat dishes, game, aged cheeses and typical Tuscan cured meats.

Combinations

Chianti Classico DOCG Nunzi Conti is a red wine of great structure and complexity, which goes well with traditional Tuscan dishes. An ideal first pairing might be with bistecca alla fiorentina, a rich and flavorful dish that requires a wine with good tannic structure to balance the intense flavor of the meat. Another interesting pairing could be with wild boar stew, a typical Tuscan dish. The wild taste of wild boar meat goes perfectly with the red fruit and spice notes of Chianti Classico. As for cheeses, Chianti Classico pairs well with aged cheeses such as Tuscan pecorino. The sharp and slightly spicy flavor of the cheese is balanced by the freshness and complexity of the wine. Finally, for a bolder pairing, one could try Chianti Classico with a dish of pasta with hare ragout. The intense and slightly sweet flavor of the hare goes well with the red fruit and spice notes of the wine, creating a combination of great balance and complexity.
