Guado al Tasso Antinori Bolgheri DOC Superiore

Guado al Tasso Antinori is a very famous Italian wine produced around the Bolgheri area and is configured as a Bordeaux blend ( a wine achieved from assembling wines obtained from the typical varieties from the Bordeaux area, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc). The grapes are manually harvested during different times, depending on the degree of the ripening, not only of the different varieties but also of the different parcels identified in the same plot of land. Once in the cellar the bunches of the grapes are divided and selected before being pressed and placed in thermos controlled inox vats for the alcoholic fermentation, which normally lasts 25 days, at slightly different temperatures for each grape variety and parcel. Subsequently the wines are separated from skins and placed into French oak barrels for a year of aging, during this time the wine gets softer and richer of scents and aromas given by the wood. After this period the best lots are assembled and transferred in bigger barrels for other 6 months before being bottled.
