This wine is born from the magic of the island of Salina, in the Aeolian archipelago, where the sun, sea and volcanic soil create a unique microclimate. The vineyard is located in the locality Porri - Capo Faro, a promontory that is home to an ancient lighthouse, and cultivated on volcanic basalt soil, rich in minerals. Nerello Mascalese, an indigenous Sicilian grape variety, is cultivated using the Guyot system, on a small, select parcel - number 523 - that yields grapes of extraordinary quality.
The particular combination of exposure, altitude and terrain guarantees wines of great complexity and elegance, making this limited production (only 3,500 bottles per year) a true oenological jewel.

The harvest takes place in the last week of September, when the grapes reach full phenolic ripeness. Prolonged maceration on the skins follows, aimed at enhancing structure, pigment intensity and aromatic depth. The wine then undergoes a year of aging in oak barrels, a passage that softens tannins and acidity, imparting a complex and balanced refinement.

Elaborate sauces, such as meat sauces or pastas seasoned with mushrooms and spices. Grilled meats, with an intense smoky flavor. Recommended serving temperature: 16°-18°C. We recommend decanting the wine before serving to fully appreciate its aromatic and taste nuances.
