Bertani is a historic company in the wine scene of both the Veneto region and in all of Italy. Founded in 1857 by the brothers Giovan Battista and Gaetano Bersani, they started to work their own grapes by putting into practice the invaluable wine-making lessons he received in France by the renowned prof. Guyot. They have always been considered innovators both on the land and also in the cellar, by experimenting with new techniques they succeeded in making incredibly high-quality wines which at that time it was surprisingly and unique. Besides their technical skills, the Bertani's have always had a great entrepreneurial spirit which helped them to make their company grow. Going back to the end of the 19th century and Bertani wines were already present and loved overseas. In the middle on the 20th century, the Villa Novare estate in the Valpolicella area was bought with its 220 hectares of vines from which the world renowned Amarone Bertani started to be produced. Today Bertani produces around 2,000,000 bottles of wines from the Valpolicella, Lugana and Bardolino areas.
