Tenuta S.Antonio is an important winery in the Valpolicella area owned by Armando, Tiziano, Paolo and Massimo Castagnedi. In 1989 they bought the estate in the Monti Garbani (which in the local dialect garbani means harsh and rough) and they started planting new vineyards next to the old ones, with just one aim: quality. The mentality of the Castagnedi brothers has always focused on producing less, when necessary, but with a very high-quality. For this reason the thinning out of bunches is carried outa few times during the vegetative cycle of the plant. Today Tenuta Sant'Antonio manages 80 hectares of vineyards and produces the most famous wines in the tradition of Valpolicella, like Amarone della Valpolicella. They aso produce wines with no sulphites which are on the market under the brand 'Telos'.
