Merlot Alturis

Merlot Alturis is a wine produced with Merlot grapes grown in Friuli Venezia Giulia in the vineyards of the Tenuta Alturis. The Merlot grapes are harvested manually in September and brought to the cellar for crushing, the must ferments with the skins in steel tanks for about 15 days at a controlled temperature of 25 ° C. During this period of maceration the skin substances spread in the wine-must enriching it from the point of view of color, structure and perfumes and at the same time the sugars of the must are transformed into alcohol. After fermentation, the Merlot Alturis wine is separated from the skins and placed in 5 HL tonneaux for a short period before assembly and bottling.
