Montecucco DOC Rosso Ciarlone Tenuta dell'Impostino is a wine that stands out for its personality and complexity. Visually, it has an intense ruby red color, with garnet reflections that become more evident with age. Its clarity and texture make it a wine of great appeal from the first visual impact. The bouquet is an olfactory journey that begins with notes of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and plums, which blend with spicy hints of black pepper and tobacco. As it evolves, more complex notes of leather, chocolate and a light touch of vanilla, resulting from aging in wood, emerge. On the palate, Montecucco DOC Rosso Ciarlone Tenuta dell'Impostino reveals itself to be a wine of great structure and persistence. The entry is warm, enveloping, with tannins present but well balanced. Its acidity is well balanced, which helps to maintain a fresh and lively taste. The finish is long and persistent, with an aftertaste that recalls the fruity and spicy notes perceived on the nose. All in all, Montecucco DOC Rosso Ciarlone Tenuta dell'Impostino is a wine that best expresses the typicality of the Tuscan territory, with its complexity and richness of nuances. A wine that never ceases to surprise, sip after sip.

Tenuta dell'Impostino's Montecucco DOC Rosso Ciarlone is a wine produced in the Montecucco area, located in the southern part of Tuscany, near the province of Grosseto. This area is characterized by a Mediterranean climate with marine influences, clay and limestone soils, and an altitude ranging from 200 to 500 meters above sea level. These conditions favor the cultivation of vines such as Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and other native grape varieties. The Impostino Estate has vineyards that are well exposed to the sun and benefit from good ventilation, factors that contribute to the optimal ripening of the grapes. Agronomic management of the vineyards is careful and environmentally friendly, with sustainable cultivation practices and careful grape selection during harvest. From an enological point of view, the production process of Montecucco DOC Rosso Ciarlone involves traditional vinification with maceration of the skins for an appropriate period of time to extract color, aromas and tannins. Aging takes place in wooden barrels and/or stainless steel tanks, followed by a period of bottle aging before release. The result is a wine that reflects the characteristics of the terroir, with good structure and complexity, able to best express the character of the grape varieties used and the work done in the vineyard and cellar.

Combinations

Montecucco DOC Rosso Ciarlone Tenuta dell'Impostino is a Tuscan red wine of great structure and intensity, with a good balance between tannins and acidity. These characteristics make it suitable for pairing with red meat dishes, both roasted and grilled, such as Florentine steak or wild boar stew. It is also a wine that goes well with aged cheeses, such as Tuscan pecorino, thanks to its ability to balance the savoriness of these products. Another interesting pairing can be with mushroom dishes, such as a porcini risotto, which enhances the wine's earthy notes. Finally, for a bolder pairing, you can try it with intensely flavored fish dishes, such as a Livorno-style fish soup, which can balance the wine's intensity with its richness of flavors.
