Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG Riserva Fattoria del Cerro

The Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva Fattoria del Cerro is probably the most representative wine of the Tenute del Cerro group in the world. The Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva Fattoria del Cerro is made from 100% of Sangiovese grapes clone Prugnolo Gentile, typical of the Montepulciano area. The grapes are hand-harvested around middle of September and brought to the winery for the de-stemming. The fermentation takes place in temperature controlled steel tanks and lasts around 15 days at a temperature of 28°C. During this time, the wine enriches of polyphenols and aromas which are transferred into the Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva Fattoria del Cerro from the skins and the seeds. Afterwards the Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva Fattoria del Cerro ages in big Slavonia oak barrels for 12 months and after it is blended and bottled.
