Poggio Mandorlo Maremma

Poggio Mandorlo Maremma IGT Toscana Rosso is the top wine of the winery Poggio Mandorlo, located in the mountainous Maremma at the foot of Mount Amiata at the beginning of the Val d'Orcia. The Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes come from a careful selection of the best vineyards located at an altitude of about 400m asl that guarantee a development of particular aromas and a unique polyphenolic profile. After careful selection in the country, the grapes are harvested manually and brought to the cellar for pressing. The fermentation takes place in 20 days with the maceration that allows the sale of valuable substances from the skins to the Poggio Mandorlo Maremma which is then separated from the skins and aged for 18 months in French oak barriques from first to blending and bottling.
