Friuli Venezia Giulia region is characterized by mountains and hills, by valleys and coasts located along the Adriatic sea. The Camarin ham factories started producing one of the most famous hams in the year 2000 the San Daniele. Camarin today produces about 1000 thighs a year, is considered one of the most qualitative and appreciated San Daniele hams. The thighs are selected directly in the slaughterhouses, only the best will produce the Prosciutto San Daniele. The Camarin uses only sea salt from Trapani to salt their hams.
