Rosso di Montalcino Casale del Bosco price and deals online

Rosso di Montalcino Casale del Bosco is a fine wine that comes from the region of Tuscany, more specifically from the area of Montalcino, an area known for producing high quality wines. This area is characterized by a Mediterranean climate, with mild winters and hot, dry summers, which is ideal for growing vines. The Casale del Bosco vineyard lies on hilly terrain, with an altitude ranging between 300 and 500 meters above sea level. The soil is predominantly clay and limestone, with a good presence of skeleton, characteristics that help give the wine its typical structure and complexity. Rosso di Montalcino Casale del Bosco is made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes, an indigenous variety of Tuscany, also known as Brunello in Montalcino. The grapes are harvested by hand, usually between late September and early October, when they have reached the right degree of ripeness. The production process involves fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by maceration on the skins for about 15-20 days. Next, the wine is transferred to oak barrels for aging, which lasts at least 12 months. This process allows the wine to acquire its typical tannic structure and complex aromas. Rosso di Montalcino Casale del Bosco has an intense ruby red color. The nose offers aromas of ripe red fruit, spices and notes of tobacco and leather. The palate is full, harmonious and well balanced, with a long and persistent finish. This wine pairs perfectly with red meat dishes, game and aged cheeses. It is also an excellent meditation wine, to be enjoyed slowly to appreciate all its nuances.

Combinations

Rosso di Montalcino Casale del Bosco is a wine that pairs perfectly with traditional Tuscan dishes. A first course that could enhance its characteristics is pappa al pomodoro, a rustic and flavorful dish that balances with the structure and freshness of this wine. As for main courses, an excellent choice could be roast pork with herbs. The succulence and sweetness of the pork blend with the fruity and spicy notes of the wine, creating a harmonious and tasty combination. Another interesting pairing could be with aged cheeses, such as Tuscan pecorino. The sharp, salty taste of the cheese contrasts with the softness and roundness of the wine, creating a very pleasant balance of flavors. Finally, for those who prefer fish, one option could be cod Livornese style, a dish rich in flavors and aromas that goes well with the complexity and persistence of Rosso di Montalcino Casale del Bosco.
