Organic extra virgin olive oil: selling the Siculum olive oil by the company Villa Ponte online

Villaponte is a farming business founded in the 50's in Chiaramonte, in the Ragusa town district. The company is located at 500 m asl and its 30 hectares of land are planted with 2500 Tonda Iblea trees. The company works an average of 900 quintals of olives from which 160 hl of extra virgin olive oil are produced. The whole production, from the picking to the cold pressing is carried out by valued experts. Today the company produces various bottle sizes of normal extra virgin and flavoured olive oil.

Taste Siculum extra virgin olive oil has a deep green colour verging to gold. On the nose fresh grass and white fruit notes are dominant. On the mouth it is soft with a good balance between bitterness and pungency. Its finish is fresh and sweet.

How it's made The journey of the extra virgin olive oil produced by Villaponte begins when the olives are still green and then are hand-picked and brought to the mill for the production to start. The olives are washed and the leaves are removed. Afterwards olives are pressed at a low temperature which then become an olive paste. Then malaxing and oil extraction take place at a cold temperature so that all the authentic aromas and flavours of the olive oil are kept.
