Ca del Bosco is one of the most famous wineries in the world. It is located in Erbrusco, in the Franciacorta area. Ca del Bosco's history began when in middle '60s Annamaria Clementi Zanella moved to Erbusco with her son Maurizio in a house surrounded by a wood of chestnut trees, called cà del bosc (literally 'house in the wood'). It is at that period of time that Maurizio Zanella, after a trip in the Champagne region visiting the famous maisons, had the idea to produce a great champenois method wine in the Franciacorta region.
