Bellei's family have been making excellent balsamic vinegar of Modena since the nineteenth century. From producing balsamic vinegar for their own family consumption, in the last decades they have become one of the leader in this field and the company have had to increase the production in order to satisfy the market demand without, however, failing the high-quality of the product. The company is led by Mr. Bellei, a great expert and specialist, who today still selects the best grapes and musts to make the balsamic vinegar. Mr. Bellei who handed down his philosophy to his family and his daughter is head of the sales and marketing side of the company. Nowadays the company produces Balsamic vinegar of Modena IGP and Balsamic vinegar Tradizionale, which have to be made and aged locally as outlined by the product certification. The musts used come from local grape varieties in the region of Emilia Romagna and these are: Lambrusco, Sangiovese, Trebbiano, Albana, Ancellotta, Fortana, Montuni.
