The Caciocavallo Silano DOP is a Slow Food product which comes exclusively from cow's milk that owes its name to its shape. The Caciocavallo Silano is shaped like a horse head, and the straps to hang it look like real bridles. Caciocavallo Silano DOP is special because in order to produce a Kg of Caciocavallo Silano you need about 10 liters of fresh milk and its nutritional value per 100 gr. of cheese, corresponds to 180 gr. beef and 200 gr. of fish. Very nutritious cheese and unmistakable taste is a true gourmet product of Italian tradition.
