These cheeses are also the main ingredients for traditional Veneto dishes. Regarding cured meat it is impossible not to mention the Prosciutto Veneto Berico Euganeo Dop produced in the towns of Padova, Vicenza and Verona. On the east side of the Garda Lake incredible extra vergin olive oil is also produced. Veneto is the Italian region with the highest percentage of flat land and the Po riverflows across this land, and then into the Adriatic. Veneto is bordered by the Alps on the north.

Romano Dal Forno together with Quintarelli are the most exclusive producers of the Valpolicella and renowned interpreter of the Amarone della Valpolicella variety. The turning point for Romano Dal Forno was when at 22 years old he met the master Giuseppe Quintarelli who inspired him about his concept of viticulture which was totally different to the one of the Valpolicella of that time. Back in those days the vineyard was seen as a grape 'machine' so it was put under stress to produce as much grapes as possible to the detriment of a quality product. Romano Dal Forno went against the trend by reducing plant yields and introducing varieties not local to his region, increasing the quality of its production exponentially. The company was founded in 1983 with difficult beginnings, but with the tenacity and perseverance typical of Veneto people and with the help of his sons, today the company manages 25 hectares of vineyard in one of the most traditional and most suitable land for wine-growing in the Valpolicella area and produces 45,000 bottles of incredible fine wines.
