Traditional Campania Products Online

The excellence of traditional Campania products is well-known all over Italy. Campania traditional dishes can be very different in each province and according to their distance from the sea or the mountains. An example is the area of Naples or Salerno where seafood strongly characterizes the Campania recipes, such as the marinated eel. The Buffalo Mozzarella DOP, a traditional Campania product, is used in thousands of recipes. Pizza is the most important traditional product, only made with tomatoes, basil and mozzarella. Other unique traditional Campania products, well-known all over Italy, are the Colatura di Alici di Cetara (Italian fish sauce made from anchovies) and the Pasta. In particular, the pasta from Gragnano is very famous and it has been used since ancient times. Campania is a southern region, mostly hilly and montainous, which overlooks the Thyrrhenian sea.
